Coaching Services Agreement
The Work Coaches
1. Parties
This agreement is made between:
The Work Coaches Ltd (“Coach” / “Provider”)
And:
Client:
The party contracting and responsible for payment. This may be:
(a) An individual purchasing coaching services directly; or
(b) A company commissioning coaching services for one or more employees.
Coachee:
The individual receiving coaching services (where different from the Client).
Where the Client and Coachee are the same person, references to both shall apply jointly.
2. Nature and Purpose of Coaching
Coaching is a collaborative, non-therapeutic and goal-oriented process designed to support personal and/or professional development.
The coaching relationship is not counselling, psychotherapy, medical treatment, HR or legal advice.
Where coaching is commissioned by a company, the focus may include objectives aligned with organisational goals, while maintaining the integrity of the individual coaching relationship.
3. Coaching Approach
The Coach uses a variety of coaching approaches including an Existential Coaching approach. This is non-directive and emphasises autonomy, responsibility, and reflective dialogue.
The Coach may use questioning, silence and challenge to support insight and action.
The Coachee remains responsible for decisions, actions and outcomes.
4. Roles and Responsibilities
By signing this agreement and/or commencing coaching, the Client and/or Coachee confirms that they are currently in suitable physical and psychological health to participate in coaching. Coaching is not therapy, counselling, or a substitute for medical or mental health treatment. If the Coachee is experiencing significant mental health difficulties or is under the care of a medical or mental health professional, they agree to inform the Coach and seek appropriate clinical support. The Coach reserves the right to pause or terminate coaching if it is determined that coaching is not an appropriate intervention at that time.
4.1 Client Responsibilities
Payment of agreed fees.
Commitment to attend and engage.
Attend sessions punctually.
Engage honestly and actively.
Take responsibility for decisions and actions.
Clarify any boundaries regarding information sharing (see Section 5).

4.2 Coach Responsibilities
Deliver coaching professionally and ethically.
Maintain appropriate boundaries.
Maintain professional supervision.
Maintain appropriate insurance cover.
Store records securely.
5. Confidentiality
5.1 Individual Coaching
All coaching sessions are confidential between Coach and Coachee.
No session content will be shared with a third party without explicit written consent, except where required by law or where there is risk of serious harm.
5.2 Company-Sponsored Coaching
Where coaching is funded by a company:
Session content remains confidential.
The Coach may provide high-level, non-content-based updates (e.g., attendance confirmation, engagement confirmation) if agreed in advance.
Any sharing of developmental themes or progress requires the Coachee’s explicit consent.
5.3 Corporate or Multi-Employee Services
Where services are delivered to multiple employees:
Confidentiality applies at individual level.
Aggregate or anonymised insights may be shared with the commissioning organisation where agreed in writing.
5.4 Professional Supervision
The Coach may discuss anonymised cases in supervision. No identifying information will be disclosed.
6. Sessions and Delivery
The scope, number and duration of sessions will be confirmed in writing prior to commencement.
Unless otherwise agreed:
Sessions are 55 minutes.
Delivered virtually or in person.
Extensions require written agreement.
7. Fees and Payment
Fees will be in an accordance with the advertised rates on www.theworkcoaches,com unless a special agreement is reached agreed in writing prior to commencement.
7.1 Individual Clients
Payment is due in advance of the agreed package unless otherwise stated.
7.2 Company Clients
Invoices are payable within agreed terms (typically 14 or 30 days).
7.3 Refunds
Unused sessions may be refunded at the Coach’s discretion unless otherwise agreed.
8. Cancellation and Rescheduling
48 hours’ notice is required to reschedule.
Late cancellations may be charged in full.
9. Termination
Any party may terminate this agreement with 14 days’ written notice.
Outstanding fees for sessions already delivered remain payable.
10. Limitation of Liability
The Coach’s liability is limited to the total fees paid for services under this agreement.
The Coach is not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
11. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
12. Acceptance
Acceptance of these terms may be confirmed by:
Signature; or
Written email confirmation; or
Payment of invoice; or
Submission of a booking form confirming agreement to these terms.
